Who Should Apply?

  • Employees of nonprofits or public entities who
  • provide training or consulting as part of their work. OR
  • bring together community members, legislators, or nonprofit professionals to connect, engage, or problem solve.
  • Independent consultants and/or trainers working with nonprofits.
  • Individuals interested in working with nonprofits as a trainer or consultant!

Priority will be given to those working in Vermont.

When is it?

The program combines live training, cohort learning, peer networking and self-guided work over 4 weeks in May of 2024. You will be able to select from a variety of different virtual learning opportunities in addition to in-person events.

  • May 8: In-Person training on training, facilitation, and adult learning best practices
  • May 13 - 24: 6 Virtual Workshops built to expand your training and facilitating skillset, grow your business, and engage communities
  • Fostering growth and learning in the nonprofit sector
  • Navigating difficult conversations 
  • Support and coach nonprofit leaders
  • Grow your fee-for-service offerings
  • Expand your consulting business
  • Trends in Vermont’s Nonprofit Sector: Opportunities and Threats
  • Building coalitions across different groups and communities
  • May 30: In-Person networking and peer learning event with nonprofit consulting community
  • Recordings of all webinars, toolkits, resources, and templates





What is the Program Cost and what is Included?

This certificate program is offered at $1,500. Participants will:
  • receive 30-35 hours of live training and self-guided work,
  • expand their toolkit with resources and templates,
  • define ways to grow their business,
  • receive 1 complimentary Marketing Promotion to Vermont nonprofits via Common Good Vermont's network - $500 Value,
  • and are eligible for discounted tickets to additional networking & professional development opportunities!
